PROJECT OVERVIEW
This project was a personal challenge aimed at creating a high-energy, trailer-style 3D motion design video inspired by Formula 1. The objective was to capture the speed, power, and excitement of F1 car around track in a visually compelling way, while also developing a unique creative style that sets the work apart from existing content in the F1 space.
KEY CHALLENGES
One of the most demanding aspects of the project was building the F1 car entirely from scratch. This involved extensive modeling work and gave me a deeper appreciation for the complexity and engineering precision of these vehicles. Lighting and rendering were also iterative processes, with many revisions needed to capture frames that conveyed motion and energy. Every visual choice was made to support the core goal of making video that presents true feeling of the speed and energy that F1 car has.
OUTCOME
Despite the technical and creative challenges, this project was incredibly rewarding. It allowed me to push my skills in 3D modeling, animation, lighting, and storytelling culminating in a final piece that reflects both the spirit of Formula 1 cars and my personal design style.
PROCESSES & EXPLORATION
As mentioned, this project involved a great deal of experimentation and time to ensure the final result aligned with the core goal, capturing the speed and energy of an F1 car on the track. From early concept development to final rendering, every stage required iterative testing, refinement, and creative problem-solving.
